This training course covers the most safe, effective and dynamic handcuffing techniques for all lawe enforcement
applications, a special emphasis is placed on tactical subject inmobilization for rapid-cuffing.
Some of the topics covered in this course include: Tactical positioning, principles of leverage and balance, rapid-cuffing,
standing, kneeling, and felony prone handcuffing techniques, use of flexi-cuffs, pressure point control techniques, use and
application of shackles,belly-chains and hobble restraints, escorting of handcuffed individuals, and liability issues on
handcuffing as use of force.

individual. The SDS Weapon Retention Tactics place great emphasis on SURVIVAL MINDSET, RELATIVE TACTICAL

THIS IS NOT A GRAPPLING CRASH-COURSE Due to the fact that in a grappling match, both participants DO WANT TO BE
ON THE GROUND But, in the real world of a Police Officer or a Corrections Officer, being on the ground could mean the
difference between life or death... And that is a fact. A fact that our students understand and realize once they are put
through our "Dynamic-Flow Ground Survival Drills". Through these reality-based drills, our students experience the
eye-opening and harsh reality of having a very hostile and combative individual taking the confrontation to the
ground with the sole criminal intent of overpowering the officer to take his life.
In this course the student will learn that when a physical confrontation is taken to the ground, the first and most important
factor is to survive and escape as soon as possible from such position, now, if escape is not possible, the student will
learn to maneuver and transition him/herself on the most advantageous position possible to excert control over
the suspect's combative and resisitng attempts. The student will learn to maneuver on the ground with ease and fluidity,
the importance of mechanical control over strenght, and the life saving skill of proper breathing to avoid premature
exhaustion, which leads to fatigue and shock.

This is a specialized training course designed for operators assigned to tactical teams or special
units, either in the streets or inside of a correctional setting, we train special teams such as narcotics,
gang interdiction, SWAT, C.E.R.T., S.R.T., etc. This 100% hands-on course covers the control of
passive & aggressive resistors in low to high risk situations. It also covers weapon retention, cell,
room and vehicle extractions, officer rescue techniques, helmet and shield work, Hi-Lo concept, team
communication, multiple subjects, basic ground combatives, escape combatives, rapid hand-to-hand
close quarters combat, mechanical control, direct impact control tactics, use-of- force management
and liability issues, among many other topics.
